Worsley Cat Sitter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure you are familiar with any amendments. By using this site and/or contracting the services of Worsley Cat Sitter, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
General Terms

You are required to complete client information and veterinary release form so that we may know as much as possible about your pet(s), their routines, habits, and your preferences. This must be completed prior to the commencement of a contract. In the event of continued service, the client agrees to inform us of any changes since the previous booking.

All clients will be deemed to have accepted Worsley Cat Sitter’s terms and conditions (as laid out here) on the signature of the client information and veterinary release form.

Please be aware that bookings are not accepted without a completed and signed client information and veterinary release form.

Client confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Client details will be kept private and will never be used for any purpose other than caring for your pet(s).

Booking will be confirmed by an invoice clearly showing how much is due and when.

Although Worsley Cat Sitter holds Public Liability insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. Worsley Cat Sitter reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

Worsley Cat Sitter will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Worsley Cat Sitter cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

Worsley Cat Sitter will take adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however, Worsley Cat Sitter cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s).
Home Visits

Worsley Cat Sitter agrees to provide care in accordance with the details provided by the client. This may include the care of pets and any other animals owned by the client, the maintenance of the home, plants and other requests by the client within reasonable limits.

The client agrees to provide Worsley Cat Sitter with all the necessary and essential information regarding the care of their pet(s) by completing the client information and veterinary release form and signing to confirm that the information provided is accurate.

The client must provide the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available Worsley Cat Sitter reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal.

Keys for clients, if held, will be stored securely when not in use. Contact and addresses are never attached to keys. Collection and return of the keys will be arranged prior to the booking - keys will be dropped off to Worsley Cat Sitter at the agreed time.

The client is responsible for ensuring that Worsley Cat Sitter is not placed in any avoidable or undue risk when entering into their home as recognised by the Health and Safety Executive.

Cat Flaps: Worsley Cat Sitter will not be liable for any injury, disappearance or death of any pet with access to the outdoors.

The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. (ie, food, bedding, cat litter etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Worsley Cat Sitter, these will be purchased and added to the bill along with a £5.00 delivery charge.

The client shall inform Worsley Cat Sitter of any behavioral problems regarding their pet(s). This must be done prior to confirmation of booking.
Payment Terms

Worsley Cat Sitter will charge the client for its pet care services as agreed at the time of booking and the client agrees to pay promptly for such services.

The client is responsible for settling the invoice for services by either bank transfer or cash, either in advance of the booking or by making the money owed available to be collected during the first home visit.

Where payment is not received in accordance with these terms and conditions of business, the company reserves the right not to proceed with any previously agreed arrangements. If the monies are not paid as agreed, 2.5% of the total bill will be added for each additional day that payment is overdue.

The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Worsley Cat Sitter.

In the event of cancellations, no service fees will be payable unless the booking has already commenced, whereby no refunds will be provided.

The client agrees to reimburse Worsley Cat Sitter for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for, without limitation, unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies on proof of a valid receipt.

Worsley Cat Sitter reserves the right to increase their prices at any time. Existing clients will be notified no less than 1 month prior to any changes.
Emergency Healthcare

The client is responsible for making sure their pet(s) are in general good health and up to date with their vaccinations, worming, and flea treatment.

The client accepts full responsibility to ensure Worsley Cat Sitter is fully aware of any medical and/or health issues the pet is experiencing or has experienced in the past. Worsley Cat Sitter cannot be held liable for any actions or omissions which result in problems or complications for non-disclosure of any such issues.

In the unlikely event that the pet should fall ill and require veterinary treatment whilst in the care of Worsley Cat Sitter, the client is entirely responsible for all vet’s costs and agrees to pay the total bill of any care and/or treatment incurred. Arrangements for this will be covered and agreed by both parties during the initial home visit.

Should the pet fall ill and/or require veterinary treatment Worsley Cat Sitter shall use all reasonable efforts to notify the client as agreed at the time of booking. In the event that Worsley Cat Sitter is unable to contact the client, or in an emergency situation, Worsley Cat Sitter shall, if in their professional opinion the pet requires veterinary attention/treatment, make arrangements as necessary in the best interests of the pet.

The client authorises Worsley Cat Sitter to arrange for any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the provision of their pet care services.

Worsley Cat Sitter shall use its best efforts to use the pet’s normal veterinary surgeon if possible. The client authorises Worsley Cat Sitter to appoint an alternative veterinary surgeon to examine the pet and carry out such care and/or treatment as may be appropriate if the pet’s normal veterinary surgeon is not accessible.

All veterinary bills pertaining to the care and/or treatment of the client’s pet shall be directly chargeable to the client. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst the pet(s) is in the care of Worsley Cat Sitter.

Worsley Cat Sitter shall follow the instructions given on the booking form but cannot be held liable for any complications which may arise as a result of said instructions.
Property care

The client shall accept full liability and responsibility for any event occurring or arising from the behaviour or characteristics of the pet.

Worsley Cat Sitter shall not be held liable or responsible for any stains, marks or damage caused by the pet(s).

Should there be any damage to the client’s property and/or possessions during their absence, caused by the pet, it shall be recorded by Worsley Cat Sitter and wherein its opinion it is deemed to be serious, Worsley Cat Sitter shall attempt to inform the client or emergency contact as soon as is reasonably practical.

It is agreed by both parties that it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the property, its contents, and pet(s) are adequately insured throughout the duration of the pet care services provided by Worsley Cat Sitter.

Worsley Cat Sitter shall not be responsible for any damage caused to the client’s property or possessions or that of others caused by the pet during the period the pet is in its care. Worsley Cat Sitter accepts no responsibility or liability for the security of the client’s property or premises, or any loss or damage which may be sustained as the result of action taken by third parties who also have access to the client’s property or premises either before, during or after the pet care services provided by Worsley Cat Sitter.

Worsley Cat Sitter shall not be liable for the injury, loss, death or any actions, fines or penalties as may be imposed on the pet(s) permitted unsupervised access to the outdoors.

Worsley Cat Sitter cannot be held liable for any loss, illness or injury of any pet whilst in its care, nor for any death of a pet unless Worsley Cat Sitter can be shown to be negligent.

The client is responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from any injury caused directly or indirectly by the pet to the pet carer and/or any other third party.

The client shall fully indemnify Worsley Cat Sitter in respect of costs and damages arising from any claim from any person suffering either injury or death caused by the client’s pet.
